This intermediate hip hop class is perfect for young dancers ready to build on their foundational skills. Designed for students who have completed Level 1, this level typically spans 1-2 years and introduces more complex hip hop moves and styles. Students will learn a variety of funky steps, including isolation techniques and foundational rhythms, while exploring choreography that highlights their individuality. The focus will be on developing musicality and movement quality, allowing dancers to express themselves creatively. With exciting routines and fun music, this class encourages teamwork and friendship in a lively atmosphere.
Coordination and strength is a focus in all of our classes to ensure our dancers are prepared to execute specialised dance skills safely. Dancers learn basic muscular anatomy to develop their knowledge of body mechanics and proper dance technique as well as dance concepts to enhance their dance vocabulary and problem solving skills.
