This progressive hip hop dance class is tailored for students who have a solid grasp of basic hip hop techniques and are eager to explore more challenging choreography. Typically completed in 1-2 years, this level emphasizes dynamic movements, including breaking, locking, and popping, while encouraging creativity through freestyle sessions. Students will work on longer routines that incorporate storytelling and performance quality, helping them connect with the music and their audience. With a focus on confidence-building and individual style, this class provides a fun and engaging environment for young dancers to flourish.
Coordination and strength is a focus in all of our classes to ensure our dancers are prepared to execute specialised dance skills safely. Dancers learn basic muscular anatomy to develop their knowledge of body mechanics and proper dance technique as well as dance concepts to enhance their dance vocabulary and problem solving skills.
