This intermediate jazz dance class is crafted for students who have completed Level 1 and are ready to further explore their jazz journey. Generally completed in 1-2 years, this level emphasizes the development of more complex movements, including jazz turns and leaps. Students will build on their basic skills through a mix of technique drills and choreography that encourages creativity and self-expression. The class will also introduce musicality and rhythm variations, fostering a deeper connection with the music. With a variety of fun choreography and engaging songs, this class ignites your child’s passion for dance while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Coordination and strength is a focus in all of our classes to ensure our dancers are prepared to execute specialised dance skills safely. Dancers learn basic muscular anatomy to develop their knowledge of body mechanics and proper dance technique as well as dance concepts to enhance their dance vocabulary and problem solving skills.
Requirements: Jazz 1 completed, If your dancer is new to the studio or has never taken a jazz class please contact info@quintdancecenter.ch for a trial so that we can properly place your dancer.
Hair: All dancers are required to come to class with hair pulled back from their face and up. This ensures your child can see clearly while they are dancing.
Dance Attire:
Girls: Black leggings and a leotard & Jazz Shoes
Boys: T-shirt and Sweatpants & Jazz Shoes
Dance Shoes: Jazz shoes are required for the class and are available for purchase in our retail shop.
