This is an intermediate/advanced tap class designed for young dancers who have a strong foundation in tap and are eager to refine and build their technique. This class offers a fantastic opportunity for growth, creativity, and rhythmic exploration. Building upon the basics, this class delves deeper into intricate tap steps and combinations. Your child will develop a stronger foundation and more polished movements. Intermediate dancers will be challenged with more elaborate routines, encouraging them to think on their feet and execute intricate patterns with precision and flair. Our class places a strong emphasis on musicality. Your child will learn to sync their movements with different styles of music, further enhancing their ability to tell a story through tap dance. With an eye towards performances and showcases, our intermediate class helps your child become comfortable and confident on stage. All while having fun!
Coordination and strength is a focus in all of our classes to ensure our dancers are prepared to execute specialised dance skills safely. Dancers learn basic muscular anatomy to develop their knowledge of body mechanics and proper dance technique as well as dance concepts to enhance their dance vocabulary and problem solving skills.
